Jerk Marinade

Over the last couple years I have played with a couple different jerk recipes until I came up with the one that is the perfect blend (in mine and my husbands opinion's anyway) of spicy and sweet. The large amount of peppers in this recipe does not create something as spicy as you would expect it to. I typically use this with chicken, but for Sunday night, I have freshly cut pork loin chops marinating in this. Can't wait to eat the jerk marinated pork chops!

Enjoy!

Jerk Marinade

Ingredients:

1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
1/2 cup soy sauce
Juice of one each lemon, orange, and lime
4 large green onions, ends removed, chopped enough to fit in the blender
3 habenaros, tops removed
2 jalapenos, tops removed
2 tbsp raw honey
3 tbsp coconut sugar
1 tbsp club house italiano
2 tsp club house tex mex
1/2 tsp each salt and pepper
2 tbsp minced garlic

Preparation:

Prepare all ingredients and combine in a blender and blend until there are no large chunks. Leave all the seeds from the peppers in the marinade.
 Marinade before blending.
Marinade after blending.
